For all of you who would like to keep in touch... sometimes keeping in touch happens through blogs :)
My life this last month...
Bret and I were experiencing a sweet work/live situation for a few months and then in March it abruptly ended... basically the owners got tight on money and needed us to end the work/live situation and start paying rent... it also seemed our community realation styles were slightly misfit... sooooo Bret and I asked his parents if we could live with them for about 8 months to a year... they agreed and we now pay them a bit of moola $ for a lil' room... it's cool cause we can now ride our bikes to work and spend more bonding time with the fam... but Moving all our STUFF back and forth is a pain in the brain... gotta get rid of the stuff that no longer is usfull OR isn't inspiring anymore... time to spring the cleaning ;)
We are in the process of designing and buying a 4x4 Diesel Ford Sportsmobile hightop camper van... The van is going to be brand new and have a BIG price tag... sooooo we are looking at it as our first home since we will be living in it for AT LEAST a year... it's cheaper then any homes we can find in the Bay Area and the monthly payment will be around the same as paying rent sooooo it's appealing to us ;) We've been told the whole building and recieving process may take up to 8 months... we went to the factory in Fresno and checked out how they build them and it's pretty impressive... anyhooooo.... we are praying that it will only take 5 months to recieve it, so that we'll beable to take it to the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert... if it's not done we hope we find something to drive out there besides our tiny 92' VW cabriolet convertable cause conditions out there are pretty harsh.
Burning Man is creeping up on us and we are dedicating all Sundays from here on out to work on art projects over at one of our campmates houses... The name of the theme camp we decided to camp with this year and last is CAMP QUESTION... The Theme of BM this year is "The Green Man" wich is inspiring us all to think of environmentally conscious projects like... prayer flags made out of cloth napkins that have prayers written on them that pertain to the environment and the inhabitants... and a big weeping willow made from used bike tubes, rebar, and other used or reusable materials... hand made recycled bamboo and metal chimes hanging around the camp... question booths people can answer questions at and then once they answer a question they can choose from a plethera of hand made recycled goodies... I believe we will also have an amazing solar array set up to power all our camp lights and music... etc... etc... etc... WE ARE EXCITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CREATION AND EXPERIENCE OF LIFE!!!
CAMP QUESTION is a camp that encourages the notion to question everything because questioning things leads to critical thinking (we hope... hee hee)... also making statements in question form is rather fun too ;) like... "how cute is that!" instead of "that is cute" or "isn't that hot!" instead of "that is hot"... you may play with that if you wish ;) questions seem to reachout to others and try to engage thier minds... dontcha think? ;)
Enough about that!
how about my knee? my knee was injuried at work a few months ago and it is still on the mend... just got a cortizone shot in my knee to help with the pain & swelling that happens when I take the stairs or ride a bike or bend or put any wieght on my knee at all... soooo no shakin' my bootay down to the floor ;) only groovin' moves that require no knee action ;)
what else?... hmmmm... oh a friend of mine got me a paid modeling gig... we did a classical figure modeling session at an artists house... it was actually pretty cool... I was worried I would get the creepy vibe but the artist was an old school gentleman who obviously had drawn tons of figure models over the years cause the sketches and paintings were covering his walls in layers... and he also makes sculptures and I may model for him again...
I have been dealing with going in and out of depression the past month or two... My life is great but I think I get over whelmed with all the rapid changes and unorganized living situations... at least that is my guess... nothing too serious just stress related I think... I'm trying to get more organized and find ways to relax so the blues won't come knockin' so often anymore...
Work? I am going to be applying for a new position... it's called ISE (In Store Educator)... ISEs orientate all the new people being hired at Whole Foods among other informational/educational presentations for the team members... I am soooo excited to get this job and I'm trying not to stress to much about it... tisk tisk stress... I'll be sure to let you know if I get the position... I think I would be an outstanding ISE!
enough about me!
I'd love to hear about you :)
